Low-Income Care

Low-cost veterinary care is offered by High Country Humane to members of Coconino County. Our services include wellness exams, diagnostics/tests, euthanasia’s and more.

This service is intended to provide additional support during times of need, but we cannot be the primary care provider for your pet. For ongoing care, it is advised that you establish a relationship with one of the veterinary clinics in town.

• Please be advised that our appointment availability is limited, and unfortunately, we are NOT to accommodate emergency cases, orthopedic cases or other surgical procedures, basic vaccination updates or other non-urgent medical procedures.
• Our low cost vaccination clinic is held at 8 the first Saturday or every month. No appointment is needed. Click here for more info!
• If you are in need of emergency veterinary care for your pet, please contact Canyon Pet Hospital or VESCONA.

Low-Income Qualifiers

To schedule an appointment with us for low-cost veterinary care, it is mandatory to meet one of the following low-income qualifiers. Proof of the qualifier must be provided when booking the appointment.

• Medicaid
• WIC
• SNAP
• HCH Pet Food Bank Client
• SSI
• SSDI
• Unemployment

Pricing:

Our exam visits begin at $35, and any additional expenses will be based on the requested/provided services.

Payment is required at the time of the service, and we regret to inform you that we do not provide any payment options, such as ScratchPay, for services.

Low-Cost Euthanasia

Our compassionate veterinary staff offers support to make your pet’s final moments comfortable when euthanasia is the most humane choice when your funds are tight. Please contact the front desk at support@highcountryhumane.org to make this appointment right away between 11AM-5PM.

• Dog: $50
• Burial/Cremation Options @ Appointment:
• Home Burial; I wish to take my pet’s remains home, included in fee – no additional costs.
• Communal Cremation (no ashes returned), included in fee – no additional costs.
• Cremation & Urn (return of ashes):
  $129 Up to 15 lbs
  $186 15 to 50lbs
  $257 50 to 100lbs
  $329 Over 100lbs
